AtScale, the leading supplier of semantic layer solutions for contemporary business intelligence and data science teams, today unveiled "Cloud Dataholics," a highly innovative and engaging YouTube series.
The fourteen two-minute episodes are now accessible on atscale.com and YouTube.
Each episode of the series looks into a unique aspect of current cloud data analytics. The major characters are personifications of popular corporate data types such as CRM, Finance, Support, and HR, and are set in a theatrical cloud data warehouse. A high-strung Query Engine tries to herd the data sets into fulfilling "The Business's" needs. The characters must deal with difficulties such as business user ignorance, query performance anxiety, and the influence of artificial intelligence on data and analytics.
Here's a taste of some of the episodes from Cloud Dataholics' first season:
-
Episode 1 (Welcome to Your Data Cloud): In the series premiere, a fresh data set is shown across the data cloud. When the company sends in a request for a complicated mix of data, the team struggles to collaborate.
-
Episode 2 (We don't speak business): When business customers are unable to correctly arrange their queries in an acceptable manner, the data teams grow enraged.
-
Extractions (Episode 7): The data responds with terrified resignation as the company misses the purpose of consolidating data on strong cloud platforms and instead opts to extract data for spreadsheet analysis.
-
Episode 11 (Singularity): The data sets welcome a strong Artificial Intelligence being to the data cloud and consider what this could imply for their future.
“As data and analytics have permeated every aspect of modern business, everyone is now expected to have some level of data literacy. Cloud Dataholics introduces the non-technical business person to some of the complex jargon and fundamental truths of business data.”
Josh Epstein, CMO of AtScale and Executive Producer of Dataholics
This is AtScale's first step into dynamic video material, as well as the first time a contemporary cloud analytics strategy has been examined via the use of this artistic medium. While the program is a dramatization of life in the data cloud, the characters' experiences will be extremely recognizable to people in the sector. The banality of cloud data life gives way to a more sinister world of drug usage, forbidden love, and dark magic as the season progresses. Cloud Dataholics was created with no data loss in mind.
Bill Inmon, founder and CEO of Forest Rim Technology and bestselling author said that "Cloud Dataholics is everyday Data Warehouse struggles meets The Office meets Curb your Enthusiasm. Spend 10 minutes to binge watch the full series. It will make your day." Bill is widely regarded as the “father of the data warehouse.”
Christopher Lynch, CEO of AtScale said that “This was a bold and somewhat unexpected move by my marketing team. It is much too early to say whether there will be a second season.”
