SingleStore | August 08, 2022
SingleStore, the cloud-native database built for speed and scale to power data-intensive applications, today announced it has selected AppDirect to power SingleStore Connect, a subscription commerce platform that removes the complexity of building a recurring business model. SingleStore Connect is an interactive marketplace for partners and customers to collaborate, discover new use cases and locate complementary technologies to maximize their SingleStore solution investments.
"At SingleStore, we are committed to fostering a strong ecosystem by enabling collaboration, delivering value and building more comprehensive solutions,” explained Oliver Schabenberger, chief innovation officer at SingleStore. "It was key for us to create a space where developers and customers can find solutions for their needs delivered from SingleStore and our partners.”
The new marketplace comes on the heels of SingleStore’s latest funding – a $116 million round led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management earlier this month. SingleStore has almost doubled its headcount in the last 12 months and continues to aggressively hire to meet the demand for its product and services. SingleStore Connect will drive additional momentum as well as product innovations to empower customers to create fast and interactive applications at scale and in real time.
“Product ecosystems are quickly becoming a key competitive differentiator for software companies, allowing them to more quickly deliver additional innovation and value to their customers, with minimal upfront investment,” said Daniel Saks, AppDirect president and co-founder. “We’re thrilled to partner with SingleStore to power its new, innovative marketplace that will arm partners with more tools and functionality – ultimately helping them to improve productivity and efficiency."
AppDirect offers a subscription commerce platform that removes the complexity of building a recurring business model. Sell any product, through any channel, on any device – as a service. Our platform opens up endless opportunities for commerce innovation, giving businesses the freedom to grow. AppDirect also powers AppSmart, a B2B technology marketplace and ecosystem connecting technology buyers with expert advisors to make it easier to sell, buy and manage telecommunications, cloud and business services. By combining transactional and analytical workloads, SingleStore eliminates performance bottlenecks and unnecessary data movement to support constantly growing, demanding workloads. Digital giants like Hulu, Uber and Comcast, and many more of the world’s leading SaaS providers, choose SingleStore to unleash the power of their data – supercharging exceptional, real-time data experiences for their customers.
Deepnote | May 27, 2022
Deepnote, an early-stage startup funded by Accel and Index Ventures, released version 1.0 today, making collaborative data science notebooks available to data teams globally.
When a company wants to make a data-informed choice, it will depend on data teams to analyze datasets and communicate insights that lead to action. Too frequently, this process is compartmentalized inside a single department, resulting in inconsistent results and out-of-date insights.
Deepnote enables data collaboration by addressing three major weaknesses of standard data science notebooks:
Because everything is housed in a fully-managed cloud environment, sharing analysis and collaborating is as simple as emailing a link. Real-time analysis is performed, with multiplayer mode available if necessary. And everything is coordinated and stored in one location.
Connectivity: With hundreds of native connectors to current data stack technologies like Snowflake, BigQuery, Postgres, S3, and GitHub, data teams can connect to the tools they already use.
Productivity: To conduct better work in a shorter time frame, underserved data analysts and scientists are now empowered with productivity capabilities like reproducibility, autocomplete, scheduling, and version control.
Deepnote is used by hundreds of organizations, including Gusto's people analytics team. According to Scott Jacobsen, Head of People Analytics and Insights:
“Deepnote has been instrumental in centralizing much of our People Analytics work. With Deepnote, we can collaborate on our data pipelines, data science, and analytics efforts all from a single platform. Deepnote’s publishing capabilities also provide our internal stakeholders a rich user experience to easily view insights and see where they should take action.”
Deepnote has gained several features since the company's Series A release in January 2022, which will be included in the 1.0 release. The most notable innovation is Deepnote Workspaces, which allows data teams to organize and present data projects, notebooks, and applications in a single location.

Pariveda | August 05, 2022
Pariveda, a leader specializing in solving complex business problems, announces it has earned the Data Warehouse Migration to Microsoft Azure advanced specialization, a validation of a solution partner's deep knowledge, extensive experience and proven expertise in analysing existing workloads, generating schema models and performing extract, transform and load (ETL) operations to migrate data and enable cloud-based analytics in Azure.
The Data Warehouse Migration to Microsoft Azure advanced specialization can only be earned by partners that meet stringent criteria around customer success and staff skilling, as well as pass a third-party audit of their data warehouse migration practices, including their ability to migrate data from Netezza and Teradata appliances.
As companies adopt digital transformation and increase their data usage and demand, they require more scalable and agile analytics solutions than on-premises legacy systems can offer. These companies are looking for a partner with advanced skills to migrate their existing data warehouses to the cloud and enable cloud-based analytics.
"The Data Warehouse Migration to Microsoft Azure advanced specialization highlights the partners who can be viewed as most capable when it comes to migrating data warehouses and implementing cloud-based analytics in Azure. Pariveda clearly demonstrated that they have both the skills and the experience to deliver best-in-class cloud-based analytics capabilities to customers with Azure."
Andrew Smith, General Manager, Partner Program Management at Microsoft
"This advanced specialization places Pariveda in a unique position to help enterprise data organizations advance at an innovative pace," said T Linson, Vice President, Pariveda. "We are proud of how we developed our Migration offering suite to address the key areas we see clients face every day."
