USEReady Unveils MigratorIQ for Business Intelligence and Cloud Computing

On March 15, 2023, USEReady, a leading data and analytics solutions provider, launched MigratorIQ, a comprehensive migration solution to automate and streamline organizations' transition to modern BI (Business Intelligence) and cloud computing platforms.

MigratorIQ is the culmination of USEReady's years of expertise assisting enterprises with migrating to new data ecosystems. MigratorIQ is based on a solution-specific methodology called MOM (Migration, Optimization and Modernization). The solution addresses the problems of CDAO (Chief Data Officer) offices that must handle migration and modernization along with BI investment optimization.

The Migration module aids in retiring legacy systems, the Optimization module emphasizes the right environment size, and the Modernization module focuses on cloud deployment. In addition, MigratorIQ is offered with a suite of tools designed to automate the digital transformation journey more than other choices.

With modern platforms, MigratorIQ has achieved 45% quicker TTM, 55% smaller report footprint, and 50% faster report processing time. Post-migration modernization and optimization are accomplished using tools like SnowIQ and Pixel Perfect, which provide observability and report bursting on a data clouds platform like Salesforce or Snowflake.

To migrate to the cloud, USEReady uses its proven "Plan Migrate Validate" architecture, and post-migration assistance is provided through a program called Data Cloud Expert (DCExp).

The USEReady team will attend the Gartner Data & Analytics Summit in Orlando, FL, from March 20 - 22, 2023, to discuss migration difficulties and learn more about MigratorIQ.

Mixpanel adds generative AI so companies can 'chat with their data'

Prnewswire | July 07, 2023

Mixpanel, the event analytics* pioneer, has integrated generative AI so companies can 'chat with their data'. The move makes it easier for companies to quickly understand the impact that product and marketing decisions have on their customers' experience and their company's bottomline. Mixpanel's application of generative AI allows queries built by AI to be reviewed so people can understand the source and accuracy of the report created, without the need to expose their proprietary data to the Large Language Model (LLM). Now, anyone using Mixpanel can clearly understand every customer's experience by asking plain English questions to OpenAI's 'GPT-3.5 Turbo' model, removing yet another barrier for companies that want to understand how people use their apps. For example, a non-technical employee at a ride hailing firm might ask: "Which group of users most frequently convert when we apply surge pricing across our key markets?" A marketer can quickly understand trends relating to advertising spend or a salesperson can see changes in revenue over time. Generative AI builds the required query, which is executed in Mixpanel, returning the relevant chart in an instant to visually display conversion trends for different cohorts across different markets. Amir Movafaghi, CEO, Mixpanel said: "Generative AI is the next interface to computing, and it's unlocking huge productivity gains. In our world, this means it's much easier for anyone to query their data in plain English by asking the AI a question. Making analytics accessible, so literally everyone can participate, will significantly improve decision making across companies." Prioritizing privacy and validating accuracy Despite the huge opportunity generative AI represents, it isn't always accurate. That's why Mixpanel queries built using generative AI allow people to check the source of their answer to understand how a report was generated. While the AI feature will be made available to all Mixpanel users, it will also be optional, so people can choose to build queries using AI or continue with the existing user interface. Mixpanel is trusted with user behavior data and provides insights to 8,000 paying customers, including large enterprises and the world's most successful digital leaders, such as CNN, Uber and Yelp! That's why Mixpanel's introduction of generative AI prioritizes privacy. Mixpanel customers will not need to contribute their data to the Large Language Model, instead the AI increases the speed and ease with which queries are built, and it's Mixpanel that actually analyzes the underlying data. "Generative AI is a bit like electricity, you can build it into other products to make things faster and easier. We're using it to speed up workflows and simplify how people ask questions of their data. But this is just the start, and we expect LLMs will enhance analytics for years to come." added Movafaghi. Traditionally, data analysts using Business Intelligence tools needed to write complex SQL queries when analyzing data, a requirement that made analytics a niche discipline and prevented companies from getting fast answers from data at scale. Mixpanel changed this with its event-based analytics system, which non-technical employees use to ask questions of their data with drop-down menus. The introduction of generative AI reimagines the data analytics process again, so anyone can use Mixpanel to support better decision making by easily asking questions of their data. The new Mixpanel generative AI interface is currently being used by a select group of customers as part of a closed Beta program. The capability will be made available as an optional interface, at no additional cost, to all Mixpanel users over the coming weeks. *About Event analytics Event analytics captures every action (or event) that each user performs within a digital product, like an e-Commerce site or a ride hailing app. This very granular view helps companies understand how different groups of users behave at various points during their experience, to answer questions like: which cohorts of users drop off during sign-up? Using Mixpanel, it's now also possible to understand the knock-on revenue impact of such customer experience issues. This approach is much faster and easier than traditional Business Intelligence (BI) tools that require data to be prepared and tabulated, with BI queries coded in SQL. While BI analysis can provide a view of how many customers churned, it doesn't allow exploration of why users are behaving in certain ways. That's why event analytics is so crucial for product teams that create and continually improve the world's most successful digital products. About Mixpanel Mixpanel is an event analytics platform that allows anyone to get answers from their customer and revenue data in seconds. It offers powerful real-time charts and visualizations of how users interact with digital products. Regardless of technical expertise, anyone can focus on what's working, and spend more time on their best ideas with Mixpanel. To learn more visit: www.mixpanel.com

data.world Announces Data Governance and Data Catalog Integrations with Snowflake’s Snowpark

Globenewswire | July 04, 2023

data.world, the data catalog platform, today announced at Snowflake’s annual user conference, Snowflake Summit 2023, an integration with Snowpark, the developer framework for Snowflake, the Data Cloud company. Through the integration, data.world provides data catalog, data governance, and DataOps applications that help Snowflake customers accelerate Snowpark migrations and govern Snowpark metadata. The integration follows data.world’s recent achievements of Powered by Snowflake, Data Governance Accelerated, and Snowflake Premier Partner status. “For our customers to be able to deploy data-intensive applications in the language of their choice – whether that’s Java, Python, or Scala – they first need to be able to find, understand, and trust the underlying data,” said Tarik Dweik, Head of Technology Alliances at Snowflake. “The integration with data.world will improve productivity for data engineers and provide answers around what functions are available, what jobs have been run and by whom, and when was this data last refreshed.” “Businesses can achieve significant cost savings and fuel innovation by migrating data assets to Snowflake,” said Lofan Leung, Head of Technology Alliances at data.world. “Our integration empowers joint customers to seamlessly manage and gain visibility into their data landscape, with enterprise-grade governance that enables organizations to embrace the cloud confidently.” Locating information is often challenging for data teams. They need metadata on functions, the lineage of those functions, and stored procedures to create a common understanding of data-intensive applications. data.world catalogs these Snowpark functions, enabling developers, data engineers, data scientists, and data product owners to get deeper access to the resources they care about and deliver enterprise-wide benefits, such as: Improved productivity: Tags for Snowpark functions based on metadata enable data teams to quickly find the relevant data and applications they need to support specific analytical use cases and business objectives. Increased efficiency: A clear understanding and visibility of what is available and for what purpose encourages data teams to share and reuse existing assets, saving development time and costs. Trust across the team: Trusted data and applications enable better decision making for downstream users with more visibility and improved understanding of how these objects are related to each other and support the business objectives. Faster and more reliable migration of data applications to the cloud: Teams are able to track statuses to manage migration workflow, create prioritized lists with high-value assets for higher return on investment, analyze data lineage for Snowpark UDFs to identify dependencies objects to lower migration risks, and document migration decisions in a centralized catalog platform. data.world’s unique knowledge graph architecture enables users to model and map key business concepts and relationships to any data asset. data.world establishes relationships between tables, views, functions, stored procedures, tasks, workflow, jobs, data applications with people, and business processes in a more holistic way. As a result, data teams with different backgrounds gain better insights faster across different domains to understand exactly how the data assets are related and being consumed by the business.
