UTSA announced a $15 million gift from a San Antonio business leader Tuesday to build a School of Data Science. Local businessman Graham Weston's $15 million donation will help the university execute its 10-year approach to development the Downtown Campus as a hub for professionals in big data and analytics. UTSA president Taylor Eighmy said the university is working with the City of San Antonio and Bexar County to transfer parcels of land downtown, valued at $13 million, to the university. If approved, the land would be the site for the National Security Collaboration Center and allow UTSA's College of Business to be relocated downtown.
