Shaena is a Newton International Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, as well as a paleontologist and comparative biologist. Here, she describes her work to discover changes in biodiversity by looking at fossils, chemical composition, the environments that animals live in, and the diets they have. Shaena plans on utilizing her new data science skills and tools for the greater good to communicate to the general public about her work and promote awareness of natural resources, conservation, and history.
