The 15th International Conference on Data Science

July 29-August 1, 2019 | USA

ICDATA, the International Conference on Data Science, is the renamed former International Conference on Data Mining, DMIN, which was held for thirteen years until 2017. In 2018, we renamed the 14th conference on this topic into ICDATA. The new name (and acronym) is more attractive and reflects a more modern perspective – although the content itself has not changed dramatically in the sense, that we still aim at organizing an interesting and modern conference related to all aspects of data science, e.g., data mining, machine learning, big data. We are the same organization team as in the past for DMIN, and we have the same processes (review feedback etc.). The Big Data Conference, ABDA, is merged with ICDATA.

Spotlight

Unplanned downtime is one of the most significant pain points for industrial manufacturers today, costing them an estimated $50 billion each year. The risk is even greater for process manufacturing, where a critical equipment failure could result in the loss of an entire batch, environmental hazards, or safety risks. The adoption of digital technologies, such as the industrial internet of things (IIoT), promises to mitigate these threats by forecasting equipment failures and catching faults before they lead to unscheduled shutdowns. However, in practice, several challenges arise when maintenance personnel and operations leaders work to implement an IIoT solution aimed at eliminating unplanned downtime.
