BangDB launches fastest streaming AI & Graph Data Platform

BangDB | April 19, 2022

BangDB
BangDB, a big data business, has created a first-of-its-kind convergent database platform (Ampere) on the cloud. BangDB is one of the world's fastest databases, making it ideal for current applications that demand predictive real-time analysis of fast-moving data from devices, sensors, and machines. BangDB has designed a modern stack to revolutionize the data analysis industry by combining AI, Stream Processing, Graph, and the database in a single solution.

"A major shift is underway in the way data is being generated and consumed. A lot more data is coming from devices than ever before. Most of the existing tools, platforms in the market were created a decade ago and hence we find it difficult to deal with newer kind of data and the use cases emerging from it. With BangDB as SaaS on cloud, Ampere becomes the first off-the-shelf platform of its kind, which cuts down the time and cost to build modern applications drastically."

Sachin Sinha, Founder and CEO of BangDB

BangDB is intended for developing use cases involving real-time Edge and Cloud computing in fields such as IoT, FinTech, log analysis, supply chain, and so on. BangDB analyzes a wide range of data to find patterns, anomalies, and other interesting occurrences in order to provide continuous operational intelligence in a fully automated way. Users may now construct apps in a very short period of time without writing a single line of code, thanks to the Cloud release. BangDB will launch an AppStore in the next weeks, where pre-built apps for different domains will be available, and developers will be able to build, publish, and sell their applications via the AppStore as well.

Sinha established BangDB in 2015 as part of IQLECT and is situated in Bangalore. It is a convergent database platform based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) that corresponds with current and future data trends in the industry. BangDB was built from the ground up and now has over a dozen patents in the data processing field. It has over 100K users worldwide and numerous prominent organizations as customers. BangDB is supported by Exfinity and VentureEast, as well as famous angels Lip-Bu Tan, Michael Marks, Nicholas B, and Pradeep Khosla.

Accenture | November 15, 2022

Accenture is to acquire Japanese data science company ALBERT Inc. (President and CEO: Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market, Securities Code: 3906), after completing a tender offer. The acquisition will add a large team of data scientists to Accenture to further strengthen its data and AI capabilities for clients. The tender offer was launched on September 29 and closed on November 14. The number of ALBERT's common shares and stock acquisition rights tendered to Accenture significantly exceeds the threshold required for ALBERT to become part of Accenture, equal to two thirds of the ALBERT stock. Upon completion of the transaction, ALBERT will be part of Accenture. Accenture expects to purchase all remaining shares and stock acquisition rights in the coming months, after which ALBERT will be delisted from the Tokyo Stock Exchange. ALBERT offers AI and big data analytics services, AI-based algorithm development, AI implementation consulting, and data science training support, primarily to major corporations in Japan. The company was founded in 2005 and was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2015. Its data science team of 250 permanent employees and contractors will join Accenture’s Applied Intelligence practice, which provides AI and data-led transformation solutions and services. The acquisition will be Accenture’s latest step to further strengthen its services in Japan that use data to digitally replicate the entire enterprise and to help Japanese companies grow and become more competitive with deep data analytics and AI expertise. Accenture has launched several solutions for data-driven management in Japan recently, for example, to forecast various business scenarios and propose actions to improve the forecasts, and to support clients’ ESG (environment, society, and corporate governance) practices. Atsushi Egawa, who leads Accenture’s business in Japan, said, “Companies today need a 360-degree view on their business to make better and faster decisions. They must look beyond the financials and include, for example, sustainability initiatives, customer experiences, and people development and retraining. Gaining this holistic perspective and being able to simulate every aspect of the business requires deep data science expertise and AI capabilities. Accenture and ALBERT’s team will bring these to clients to help them succeed in their total enterprise reinvention.” “ALBERT’s philosophy is to connect the world with data science and co-create new value for a better future. As leading companies across industries are investing heavily in AI, we’re seeing growing demand for the technologies and skills that are the core of our business. EY | November 28, 2022

The EY organization today announces an alliance between Alteryx, one of the leaders in analytics automation, and Ernst & Young LLP (EY US), to help organizations unlock the power of data through automation and digital transformation. Most organizations face inefficiencies and increased costs when carrying out day-to-day business and back-office operations. As they undergo digital transformation efforts, they tend to devote more time to data manipulation than to data analysis. Among other strengths, EY US is well-known among clients and in the market for its consulting capabilities. ThoughtSpot for Sheets Launches to Bring Self-service Analytics to Spreadsheets

ThoughtSpot | October 28, 2022

ThoughtSpot, the Modern Analytics Cloud company, today announced the launch of ThoughtSpot for Sheets, an entirely new web plug-in that brings modern, true self-service analytics directly to data in Google Sheets. With ThoughtSpot for Sheets, users simply install a free plugin app for Google Sheets, and then can instantly begin analyzing all their data in these sheets through search. Built and run entirely in the browser, ThoughtSpot for Sheets requires no data modeling, technical skills, or existing architecture. Users simply install, connect, and start searching. Currently, ThoughtSpot for Sheets is compatible with Google Sheets, including Connected Sheets, along with Supermetrics and Coefficient. Additional partners are planned for the near future. Customers can leverage ThoughtSpot for Sheets directly on their data already in Google Sheets. With Coefficient, customers can easily and quickly bring data from their cloud data platform or cloud applications into Sheets, which is then immediately ready for analysis with ThoughtSpot for Sheets. Supermetrics enables customers to bring data from their various marketing applications into sheets, which can then be searched and analyzed instantly with ThoughtSpot for Sheets. Extending self-service analytics to data in sheets Since its founding, ThoughtSpot has been on a mission to make the world more fact-driven by empowering anyone to ask questions and get answers from data. The company pioneered the first true Live Analytics platform, where every employee, regardless of technical sophistication, could use search to extract insights from their cloud data platform and take action on them. Today, customers like Harri, Frontify, and Accern rely on ThoughtSpot as the experience layer of their modern data stack. With ThoughtSpot for Sheets, this same interactive, intuitive analytics experience is being extended to the tremendous amounts of data and information stored in spreadsheets. While much of the business world’s data has moved to cloud data platforms, the reality is a massive amount of data remains in spreadsheets. More than a billion users engage with Google Sheets, and research suggests that 40% of spreadsheet users struggle to make sense of their data in spreadsheets. Historically, analyzing the data in these sheets required a deep understanding of spreadsheet best practices and operations, or moving this data into an analytics solution. ThoughtSpot for Sheets dramatically simplifies this process. Analyzing this data is as simple as asking a question in simple natural language, without needing to purchase any software or move any data. “ThoughtSpot is the platform for the masses, for everyday people to be able to ask questions of their cloud data and get reliable answers back instantly. But we know to truly advance our mission of building a more fact-driven world, we must go beyond the more robust, mature cloud data platforms, and be anywhere data lives. That includes spreadsheets. “ThoughtSpot for Sheets makes it possible for any individual to experience the power of self-service analytics and get answers, exactly when and where they need them.” Sumeet Arora, Chief Development Officer, ThoughtSpot "There are millions of companies that use Google spreadsheets every day. For many, spreadsheets remain a center of gravity or a necessary extension for data analysis and critical rapid decision-making. What ThoughtSpot has done here is so powerful yet so simple,” said Anand Thaker, martech industry expert and Exec GTM Advisor. “By bringing the power of search directly to where data lives for these companies, ThoughtSpot for Sheets will enable hundreds of millions of users to analyze data and share insights within their current agile workflows." “The biggest obstacle in analytics for most companies is the constant battle to scour their marketing data for value,” said John Wall, Partner, Trust Insights and Host of Marketing Over Coffee. “ThoughtSpot for Sheets provides a quick and easy solution that any marketer can use to master their spreadsheet data.” “Nearly everyone has interacted with spreadsheets at some point in their professional lives. While spreadsheets are extremely powerful, they lack the data connectivity needed to be truly useful and trusted across a company,” said Ben Crosswell, COO, Coefficient. “With our new integration with ThoughtSpot for Sheets, it’s incredibly easy to leverage live company data directly from Google Sheets to explore insights with ThoughtSpot for Sheets, and share those insights across the company. We’re in a new era of empowering the business user, and we’re happy to be working together to help teams take advantage.” “Every marketer today engages with data in some capacity, whether to measure and optimize campaigns, deliver exceptional customer experiences, or shape products and services. With data coming from so many different applications and sources, our customers unlock tremendous value by bringing this data into spreadsheets for analysis. But exploring this data, finding insights, and creating charts and visualizations can be both challenging and time consuming,” said Mikael Thuneberg, Founder & CEO, Supermetrics. “With ThoughtSpot for Sheets, our customers can now sync all their marketing data to Sheets with Supermetrics and then instantly search to explore their data, visualize insights, and share those with others to create efficient, delightful marketing.” The launch of ThoughtSpot for Sheets comes on the heels of ThoughtSpot’s year focused on democratizing the Modern Analytics Cloud, including the launch of new Team and Pro editions that make ThoughtSpot affordable for every size team and budget. About ThoughtSpot ThoughtSpot is the Modern Analytics Cloud company. Our mission is to create a more fact-driven world with the easiest to use analytics platform. With ThoughtSpot, anyone can leverage natural language search and AI to find data insights and tap into the most cutting edge innovations the cloud data ecosystem has to offer. Companies can put the power of their modern data stack in the hands of every employee, extend the value of their data to partners and customers, and automate entire business processes. ThoughtSpot enables everyone within an organization to limitlessly engage with live data regardless of their cloud data platform, making it easy to achieve granular, actionable insights through Live Analytics. Customers can take advantage of ThoughtSpot’s web and mobile applications to improve decision making for every employee. With ThoughtSpot’s developer-friendly platform, ThoughtSpot Everywhere, customers can also bring the Modern Analytics Cloud to their products and services, engaging users and keep them coming back for more.
