Two Studies on Growing Data Analytics Market to be Published by ISG
ISG | June 22, 2021
A leading global technology research and advisory firm Information Services Group has released two research studies that examine the growing data analytics market. One study examines the providers of analytics services while the other has examined the vendors of analytics platforms.
The studies will be published in Analytics Services and Analytics Platforms, both comprehensive ISG Provider Lens™, scheduled to be released in November. These reports will cover a variety of services offered in the competitive data analytics market.
These studies will enable enterprise buyers to utilize information and help them to evaluate their current vendor relationships, potential new engagements and available offerings. At the same time, the ISG advisors can use the information to recommend providers to the firm’s buy-side clients.
All ISG Provider Lens evaluations will feature new and more elaborate customer experience (CX) data that will measure real enterprise experience with particular provider services and solutions based on ISG’s continuous CX research. These evaluations will begin to feature from July 2021.
To receive a personalized survey URL, enterprise customers who wish to share their experience about a particular vendor or provider can register here.
According to Kathy Rudy, partner and chief data and analytics officer of ISG mentioned that the new analytics reports will show the way data analytics services providers and platform vendors will be addressing the growing demand for correlated products and services.
ISG has disseminated surveys to more than 100 data analytics service providers. The research team, in collaboration with ISG's global advisors, will produce three quadrants that will represent the services and products any typical enterprise client is purchasing in the data analytics services space, established on ISG’s experience working with its clients. The three quadrants that will be covered are as follows:
• Data Science Services: It inspects providers of services using scientific methods, processes, algorithms, and systems to derive knowledge, patterns, and conclusions from both structured and unstructured data. Service providers have catered to the requirements of the enterprises, including, but not limited to, consulting, identifying business use cases and developing statistical model and algorithms.
• Data Engineering Services: It assesses providers with capabilities involving the accumulation and collection of data from structured, semi-structured, and unstructured sources like email messages, word-processing documents and audio or video files. These service providers’ contributions include developing data pipelines and data models and managing file format conversion.
• Data Lifecycle Management Services: This looks at providers who develop data governance systems, policies, and procedures for more efficient data management. Data handling service providers manage the storage, sharing, archival, and retrieval of data by following relevant compliance guidelines.
ISG has distributed surveys to over 70 data analytics platform vendors to get platform vendors report. The research team worked in collaboration with ISG’s global advisors to produce two quadrants that will represent the services and products any typical enterprise client is buying in the data analytics platform space, based on ISG’s experience working with its clients.
The two quadrants covered are:
• Self-Service Business Intelligence Platforms: This will inspect vendors that offer commercially available off-the-shelf analytics and business intelligence platforms to enterprises for their advanced analytics reporting and visualization requirements.
• Data Preparation and Integration Platforms: This quadrant will assess the vendors of readily available platforms designed to support enterprises collecting, ingesting, collating, preparing, transforming, and integrating data across a variety of enterprise applications and systems, business units, partners, and customers. Organizations expect vendors of platform and solution to be experts in managing heterogeneous data, pre-built connectors for critical applications, and data discovery.
The reports will cover the global data analytics market and examine products and services available in the U.S., Germany and Brazil.
Holm Landrock, Gowtham Kumar and Marcio Tabach, the ISG analysts, will serve as authors of both reports.
