Visualizing Retention Data over Time in MATLAB

Doug Hull, MathWorks (Originally posted on Doug's MATLAB Video Tutorials blog.) I have some data showing how many people come into and leave a group over time. I wanted to see the retention of members from one month to the next. Using area plots I was able to make a “stacked area plot” to get the visualization I wanted. This video shows the proof of concept in making the chart quickly so I know it is what I want.
