Alation Introduces Partner Program for Open Connector Framework

Alation Introduces Partner Program for Open Connector Framework

On January 11, 2023, Alation Inc., one of the leaders in enterprise data intelligence solutions, announced the launched of a partner program for the Open Connector Framework to deliver connectivity to new data sources. Using the Alation the Open Connector Framework, an SDK that simplifies the creation of Alation connectors, the new program creates an ecosystem of partners to extend connectivity options. Alation's new partner program complements the Open Data Quality Initiative, announced in 2022, and reinforces the company's continued commitment to open extensibility.

Alation provides connectors to more than 80 data sources, including Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, and Tableau. As the contemporary data stack becomes more complex and businesses deploy a growing number of disparate data sources, improving visibility across the data stack is crucial to improving data trust, accelerating time to value, and encouraging data-driven decision-making.

Certified partners get integration materials that guide them through the process of integrating and creating unique connections. Furthermore, certification gives consumers peace of mind by indicating that vendor-built connections are reliable and will integrate easily with Alation.

With the partner program for the open connector framework, Alation clients have access to a broader range of customer-specific BI platforms, data transformations, databases, pipeline tools, and cloud applications, as well as a more comprehensive view of their data. In addition, as partners develop innovative, new connections, clients can take metadata from almost any data source and access it via the Alation Data Catalog.

Chief Product Officer, Alation, Raj Gossain, said, "Our goal is to make Alation the most open and extensible data catalog on the market, and the Partner Program for the Open Connector Framework is a key step in that journey."
