Aramco and Cognite launched CNTXT, a joint venture based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. CNTXT, headquartered in Riyadh, will promote industrial digitalization in Saudi Arabia and the broader MENA region.

CNTXT will provide digital transformation services powered by innovative cloud technologies and industry-leading software. These solutions and services will assist businesses in the public and private sectors in future-proofing their data infrastructure, increasing income, reducing expenses, and mitigating risks, all while improving operational sustainability and security. CNTXT is the only distributor of Cognite Data Fusion® in the MENA area and a reseller of cloud products from Google Cloud in the Kingdom. In addition, Google Cloud plans to build a "Center of Excellence" before the end of the year to teach engineers and business executives how to leverage cloud technology.

CNTXT, led by newly appointed CEO Abdullah Jarwan and a management team of local and international talent, intends to dramatically expand its staff this year to become the leading tech employer in the Kingdom.

The introduction of CNTXT represents a significant milestone in the partnership between Aramco and Aker ASA, the principal owner of Cognito. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in 2019 to build synergies and share expertise about industrial digitalization and sustainability projects.
