AtScale gets its BI beyond Hadoop strategy under way

The startup has so far enabled analysts to create hierarchies, measures, metadata, and calculations into virtual cubes, which a BI tool can use to query data live in Hadoop. It's now taking its BI vendor-neutral middleware play for OLAP-on-Hadoop, and extending it to the other repositories of data. The move is part of a broader strategy to serve enterprise BI needs.
