GoodData Releases a New Report on the Future of Analytics

Analytics
On December 21, GoodData, the data and analytics infrastructure leader released a report on The Future of Analytics. With two-quarters of record growth and a new, no-code UI framework for composable data and analytics, the report provides survey findings of business leaders' top analytics priorities in 2022 and beyond, as well as predictions of how the global tech industry will achieve its analytics goals in the years to come. Insights include cross-functional analytics techniques and how composability facilitates IT and business alignment.

According to Roman Stanek, CEO and Founder of GoodData, business owners are more eager than ever to get the most out of their data. Businesses have traditionally struggled to gain insights and collaborate across the organization, but data silos are being replaced by composable data and analytics that allow for greater flexibility and resilience. Breaking down data silos will bring IT and business closer together in the future.

Pulse, a Gartner business, conducted a poll of 200 executives, directors, and VPs from firms with 500 to 10,000+ employees. Data democratization, budgeting, and breaking down data silos were the top priorities of company leaders surveyed by GoodData. Among the findings: 46 percent of organizations plan to focus on self-service analytics and dashboards in 2022. Most IT leaders have either upgraded or are in the process of modernizing their data infrastructures. As far as data duplication is concerned, 67% of firms say it is the most common problem. In 75% of firms, IT often handles data and analytics or has a distinct data and BI department.

According to GoodData's analysis, more corporate executives are aiming to base their decisions and plans on accurate data in 2022 and beyond. New products and services, better client acquisition, increased customer retention and happiness, and increased income can all be achieved by properly using a company's data.

Additionally, the report offers GoodData's forecasts for the year ahead. According to GoodData's predictions for the future of analytics, there will be a rise in cross-functional teams that will improve data management and quality, an industry-wide shift to the cloud to address expanding data needs, and more significant efforts to balance flexibility with governance.
