Informatica Releases Enterprise Data Management With NVIDIA Accelerated Computing

Serverless Spark-based Cloud Data Integration engine offering accelerated performance with the help of NVIDIA RAPIDS Accelerator for Apache Spark with NVIDIA accelerated computing is now available, announced Informatica.

The end-to-end machine learning operations (MLOps) capabilities are now accessible to first-time users who can operationalize the machine learning models and to the power of data management with swiftness by RAPIDS data science software and NVIDIA infrastructure.

"Forty-one percent of employees outside of corporate IT are no longer just 'end users' of technology. They are technology producers who customize or build their analytics or technology solutions to support their work”, stated a research paper published in Gartner.

Data democratization is the result when advanced analytics and vast datasets are performed and managed by these technology producers.

Citizen integrators, data engineers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists were offered zero overhead, zero coding data access through serverless multi-cloud data management as they implemented NVIDIA’s innovative GPU acceleration to Informatica’s MLOPs and DataOPs workloads by Informatica. It has thus become the industry’s first cloud data management company to do so.

Manuvir Das, Head of Enterprise Computing, NVIDIA said, "Data science is the backbone of AI, as it is key to transforming oceans of enterprise data into business opportunities.” He further added, "Informatica's integration of RAPIDS Accelerator for Apache Spark with NVIDIA accelerated computing brings the world's most advanced infrastructure to the many industries that rely on Informatica's enterprise cloud data management solutions, enabling customers to speed their data science and AI pipelines across their cloud and on-prem data centers."

This product has proven to be a milestone. The customers will now experience:

1. 5X Data Processing Speed: To produce business insights, data analytics, machine learning, and data science projects depend on clean and processed data from data pipelines that collect, transform, clean, and prepare it for extraction. The data pipelines ran on slow CPUs. Since GPUs are faster, it is possible to process multiple threads to execute simultaneously the data pipelines as they utilize parallel processing. With the help of NVIDIA GPUs to ingest and process data up to 5X, the customers can now speed up their data management workloads and operationalize machine learning models. This acceleration of data processing will make it possible to get faster insights and make a vital business decision.

2. Speed Up Data Democratization: To enhance the computer-intensive AI and machine learning workloads, the accelerated computing was made possible by NVIDIA GPUs and software, when conventionally it was necessary to use Spark expertise and highly skilled developers. Simple drag and drop GUI-based development experience developed by Informatica eliminates any difficulty by changing mappings to sophisticated Spark code. This Spark code can be executed on GPUs at a magnitude. The whole process of democratizing data access with its data integration products has been done by Informatica for quite a few years. Informatica is now extending those boundaries by democratizing GPU access to data consumers.

3. Reduction of Cost of Ownership Up To 72%: Data science and analytics are data-heavy and compute-intensive. To operationalize these projects at their magnitude, a constant feed of cleansed data from different sources at high speed is extremely important. However, they come at a high cost. The customers can now save more as they get to utilize GPU-accelerated software and computing, data management pipelines, MLOps, and DataOps frameworks created on Informatica which saves up to 72% in TCO.

Chief Product Officer of Informatica Jitesh Ghai said, "Data democratization is the holy grail of digital transformation initiatives.” He further added, "You can't leverage the power of data and gain valuable insights if you are restricted in your data access. Our collaboration with NVIDIA is valuable to us in bringing enterprise-scale data democratization and narrowing the gap between the data-haves and the data-have-nots within the enterprise. This important milestone with NVIDIA shows our continued commitment to unlock the value of data embedded in organizations across all levels and more importantly empower all key users to gain faster business-critical insights and operationalize data analytics and data science projects at scale."

Airbyte Racks Up Awards from InfoWorld, BigDATAwire, Built In; Builds Largest and Fastest-Growing User Community

Airbyte | January 30, 2024

Airbyte, creators of the leading open-source data movement infrastructure, today announced a series of accomplishments and awards reinforcing its standing as the largest and fastest-growing data movement community. With a focus on innovation, community engagement, and performance enhancement, Airbyte continues to revolutionize the way data is handled and processed across industries. “Airbyte proudly stands as the front-runner in the data movement landscape with the largest community of more than 5,000 daily users and over 125,000 deployments, with monthly data synchronizations of over 2 petabytes,” said Michel Tricot, co-founder and CEO, Airbyte. “This unparalleled growth is a testament to Airbyte's widespread adoption by users and the trust placed in its capabilities.” The Airbyte community has more than 800 code contributors and 12,000 stars on GitHub. Recently, the company held its second annual virtual conference called move(data), which attracted over 5,000 attendees. Airbyte was named an InfoWorld Technology of the Year Award finalist: Data Management – Integration (in October) for cutting-edge products that are changing how IT organizations work and how companies do business. And, at the start of this year, was named to the Built In 2024 Best Places To Work Award in San Francisco – Best Startups to Work For, recognizing the company's commitment to fostering a positive work environment, remote and flexible work opportunities, and programs for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Today, the company received the BigDATAwire Readers/Editors Choice Award – Big Data and AI Startup, which recognizes companies and products that have made a difference. Other key milestones in 2023 include the following. Availability of more than 350 data connectors, making Airbyte the platform with the most connectors in the industry. The company aims to increase that to 500 high-quality connectors supported by the end of this year. More than 2,000 custom connectors were created with the Airbyte No-Code Connector Builder, which enables data connectors to be made in minutes. Significant performance improvement with database replication speed increased by 10 times to support larger datasets. Added support for five vector databases, in addition to unstructured data sources, as the first company to build a bridge between data movement platforms and artificial intelligence (AI). Looking ahead, Airbyte will introduce data lakehouse destinations, as well as a new Publish feature to push data to API destinations. About Airbyte Airbyte is the open-source data movement infrastructure leader running in the safety of your cloud and syncing data from applications, APIs, and databases to data warehouses, lakes, and other destinations. Airbyte offers four products: Airbyte Open Source, Airbyte Self-Managed, Airbyte Cloud, and Powered by Airbyte. Airbyte was co-founded by Michel Tricot (former director of engineering and head of integrations at Liveramp and RideOS) and John Lafleur (serial entrepreneur of dev tools and B2B).
