New Duke center will mix big data and health care

The new Woo Center at Duke aims to bring together engineers, machine learning experts, data scientists and health care specialists to improve clinical care around the globe. Last week, the Pratt School of Engineering announced the launch of the Sherry and John Woo Center for Big Data and Precision Health. Funded by a $3 million grant from philanthropist John Woo, the center is designed to support projects that use artificial intelligence and data to provide better health care to developing communities worldwide.
